FSBB : Raoul Toupane, nommé DTN
Après l’Afrobasket, tout le monde se rappelait de la démission de Moustapha Gaye, coach de l’équipe nationale mais également, directeur technique national (DTN). Depuis lors, ces postes sont vacants. Plus, maintenant, pour ce qui est du DTN. En effet, Raoul Toupane est nommé à ce poste depuis hier, a fait savoir la FSBB. « La fédération sénégalaise de basketball informe que son président Me Babacar Ndiaye a proposé au ministre des Sports, la nomination de M. Raoul Toupane au poste de Directeur technique national. Avant sa nomination M. Toupane assurait les fonctions de DTN adjoint », peut-on lire dans un communiqué de la fédération.

Diplômé de la faculté des sciences du sport de l’université de Leipzig (Allemagne), Raoul Toupane est titulaire de plusieurs diplômes d’entraîneur de Basketball. Il a été entraîneur de L’Asfa et de Saint Louis Basket Club, membre de l’encadrement technique de l’équipe nationale masculine lors des AfroBasket 2013, 2015 et des coupes du Monde 2014 et 2019, membre également de l’encadrement technique de l’équipe nationale féminine championne d’Afrique en 2009, et pendant la coupe du monde 2010, après un passage chez les U18.
